United Airlines Website For Non-Stop Service From Denver To Tokyo

United Airlines recently announced their new daily non-stop service from Denver to Tokyo starting March 31, 2013. This route will utilize their new fleet of Boeing 787-400 Dreamliners, offering major comfort and amenities to flyers. Star Alliance partner, ANA will offer connections from Tokyo to the rest of Asia. The Denver Post newspaper posted a recent article around this announcement:

This news has been really exciting and a long time coming to the Rocky Mountain area. Clarence Low is currently the Chair-elect of the Colorado Asian Chamber of Commerce, and has been in discussions with United Airlines to help promote the service to local ethnic communities, especially the Korean, Chinese, Vietnamese and Japanese communities.

One online marketing idea that Byte Technology shared with the United sales/marketing team is creating an in-language website reach out to this target audience. Each language site could feature in-county imagery and messaging, as well as speaking to the time and cost savings of this direct route. Flight schedule and connection information, downloadable maps, ancillary travel services, and resources for ground and counter staff support would enhance customer experience and create loyalty amongst its experienced travelers. Of course, tying the site into its current social media channels is key to continuing to help spread the message.

What better way to promote awareness and build on the excitement of this route! It was well-received. Now – let’s execute!
