Challenge
At Home Apartments had a website that was comprised of two different pieces of software trying to work together. This required double the amount of technical maintenance, made administration cumbersome for their staff, caused search engine optimization issues, and made for a poor user experience for their site visitors. The challenge was to unify the two pieces of software into one updated and secure platform, reduce data management and duplication of efforts for their staff, and improve user experience on the website.
Solution
Byte Technology created a heavily customized WordPress based website that allows for complex data relationships for communities, neighborhoods, cities, apartments buildings, and amenities. An improved map search was created, and a fresh site search was added to the homepage. All of these improvements allow for easier administration of the data, which makes their staff more efficient, and an improved user flow and experience for their site visitors, which increases visitor stay time and conversions. In the month following the launch, their website traffic was the highest it’s been in over 5 years!
